For calibre 4.23, you must use the 6.8.1 DeDRM plugin, but the included Obok 7.1.0 plugin should work with calibre 4.2.3. It includes the DeDRM and Obok plugins, versions 7.1.0.
It also looks like DeDRM hasn't been updated since about the time Calibre 5 came out. In the Github page for the DeDRM project, the file config.py is trying to load Qt 5. On the Calibre change log it mentions that Calibre 6 now uses Qt 6, and Qt 5 plugins may not work. Downgrade Calibre 5.x to Older Version 4.xAs a stab in the gloom, I think it has to do with the Qt library. Step 3 Add the DeDRM_plugin.zip to Calibre 5.x. Unzip the file, and you will get a DeDRM_plugin.zip file. Step 2 Download the DeDRM_tools_7.1.0.zip to your computer. Step 1 Install Calibre (5.0 or higher version) to the computer first.
